Conor McGregor has never been one to follow the conventional path. Whether inside the Octagon or in the business world, ‘The Notorious’ operates on his own verbose and larger-than-life terms. Now, the Irishman is venturing into entirely new territory—the global music industry. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry’s Global Music Report, total sales soared to $28.6 billion in 2023—a 10% increase from the previous year. From his whiskey empire to his involvement with BKFC, McGregor has built a global brand. But music? That’s uncharted waters. Still, with Greenback Records backing his latest move, he’s more than ready for the challenge.

Back in July 2024, McGregor gave fans a bold glimpse of his musical ambitions, declaring, “The Notorious Thug Era has begun.” And he wasn’t bluffing. His entrance into the industry comes with a groundbreaking partnership alongside hip-hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, proving he’s serious about making waves.

Now, hip-hop icon and actor Xzibit is the latest powerhouse to join Greenback Records. His rise to mainstream fame was cemented by one of hip-hop’s most unforgettable collaborations—his raw, aggressive delivery on “B-tch Please” alongside Snoop Dogg created a legendary contrast, solidifying his place in rap history. However, Xzibit is now focused on a new chapter—teaming up with McGregor to accomplish something fresh in his career.

Low Kick MMA took to Instagram to share what the hip-hop legend had to say in a conversation on the Math Hoffa podcast about working with the former dual champion: “He doesn’t need to do it for money. He just wants to build a record label that kicks everyone else’s a-s and that’s his gratification. He is looking to promote these labels and artists like he does fighters. Press conferences, showing up, being involved and engaging, hyping and then delivering. That’s really big, we can hype it up all we want but if we don’t deliver we are fu—d. So we got to punch somebody in the face and that’s exactly what we plan to do.”
