In the same podcast episode, Nurmagomedov was asked by the interviewer about his plans to return to the UFC. The retired Lightweight GOAT straight up clarified that he would not be returning to the UFC Octagon.

Apparently, Nurmagomedov is choosing to stay away from the sport primarily because of the promise he made to his mother, after the loss of his father. Furthermore, he is currently training his sons in combat and creating the next generation of undefeatable champions. Also, his protege, Islam Makhachev, who is the current UFC Lightweight champion, is the current torch-bearer.

Although it would have been a great opportunity for Khabib Nurmagomedov to return to the UFC, it is clear that there is no immediate news of that.
