“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall”-this quote by Nelson Mandela perfectly defines the career of Yoel Romero. He is a former UFC fighter who was and is one of the best fighters in the promotion. Despite retiring, he still fights for a living even at 47. His recent victory was at Mike Perry’s Dirty Boxing Championship against ͏Power ͏S͏l͏a͏p ͏competitor D͏uane͏͏͏ Cr͏es͏po.

And as usual, he won this fight too! And none other than Jon Jones was there to witness the whole thing.

The private event, which looked like a scene straight out of a fight movie, was hosted by none other than Mike Perry in Miami, Florida. Jon Jones, the GOAT of UFC heavyweights, sat in front of the ring to watch ‘The Soldier of God’ smother Crespo and score a sensational first-round knockout victory. After defeating his opponent Romero stood over him as Muhammad Ali had done during his KO win over Sonny Liston in 1965.

Another footage shows Jon Jones standing in the audience in awe of the star. This is not the end because Romero gushed about’ Bones’ seeing him fight at The Schmo interview. He said, Jonny and I have had a relationship for many years already. We’ve had a great friendship. And I am always very grateful for when he comes to see me fight.”

He further stated, “It’s not a surprise that everyone knows that he is the sports figure of MMA the person with many more achievements in this sport, and that he comes to see me fight for me it is great. He is always giving me tips and always sharing little tricks you know that work for the fight for the combat fight.”

Jones was truly in shock and did not move for a whole 10 seconds and when he did he placed his hand over his face in shock. Jones also praised Mike Perry for what he was doing.

He left Perry smiling ear to ear. Getting praise from one of the best heavyweights is nothing short of an award in itself. Perry added, “My dog, my dog, man,” and hilariously mimicked a dog barking a few times in respect.
