In the latter half of 2022, Tony Ferguson decided to prepare for his life outside of fighting. He had just fought Nate Diaz in an impromptu bout at that time following Khamzat Chimaev’s weight miss and unfortunately lost the bout. Thereafter, during the post-fight press conference of UFC 279, Ferguson revealed that he was planning to study business at Harvard University. He declared, “I am already going back to school for business in Harvard.”

Tony Ferguson stated that his intention of going to Harvard is to his business credentials, and for that, he was getting help from one of his friends and a former UFC star as well. “And my buddy Lloyd and Vitor Belfort, they’re helping me with that. After that, I am going to school and get my PT,” said Ferguson.

Tony Ferguson is putting out all the stops to win his upcoming fight. He even trained with army veteran and motivational speaker David Goggins, with hopes of breaking the 6-fight losing streak. It is an unusual route for a UFC fighter, but Ferguson is determined to defeat Paddy Pimblett.
