UFC veteran Bobby Green took out his frustration on “pu**y” ranked lightweights for not capitalizing on the opportunity and face Islam Makhachev for the #1 contender fight on short notice.
The ‘King’ Bobby Green seamlessly stepped in to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov’s protégé Islam Makhachev on a 10 days’ short notice at catchweight. Even though he had just come out of a unanimous decision win against Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 271. This just goes on to show the level of dedication that Green has for the sport.

But that wasn’t the case with other elite 155-pounders and Green has a message for every single one of them.
“I know already. The top ten guys- hooker said it best- all those mother fu**rs got the call first,” Green told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. “I guarantee you, all those guys were p***ies. All you guys are f***ing pu**ies. They want to wait and pick their turns and ‘Oh no, it’s not good enough. No, I need more time. No, I want to fight somebody ahead of me but then I want to be at the right camp and I want to be all the right situations,’ like there’s all those guys play this like a weird game.”
“I feel like they hold their cards in and they wait for the right time to ‘ah, pull up my ace’. Like no, sometimes you gotta jump on it, you know, and you gotta take it the way it is and I am jumping over all of you guys because why- you are too p**sy to take the opportunity,” Green continued.

In the same interview, Green told Helwani that he was actually vacationing while he took up the fight, but not without some tantrum as he was actually walking at 195-pounds as he is an “all you can eat Sushi” guy. Hence, he told the UFC that he can meet Makhachev at 160-pounds at the most if they want the show to go on.
