Ronda Rousey, entering the MMA game, changed it. She started her professional MMA career back in 2011 and it looked like there was no fighter who could defeat her. She was on a 12-fight winning streak before losing to Holly Holm and then Amanda Nunes. Unfortunately, post this, she retired from MMA.

Michael Bisping recently asked a question on Twitter. He wrote, “Can you think of any fighters, boxers or Mma that weren’t the same after being knocked out? Need some examples. Naseem Hammed springs to mind.”

Many Twitter users replied to Bisping’s tweet by saying that Naseem Hamed never got knocked out. UFC featherweight Cub Swanson replied to Bisping’s tweet with “Rousey”.

Holm and Nunes both defeated ‘Rowdy’ via T/KO. Rousey then retired and looked at other opportunities in the combat sports arena.

While several people could think of other names in relation to Bisping’s tweet, many agreed with Swanson. Several people felt that Ronda Rousey was never the same after getting knocked out twice.

Several other UFC fans felt that Cody Garbrandt, Amir Khan, and Luke Rockhold were never the same.

They experienced brutal knockouts in their career. While people had a ton of names, quite a large chunk agreed Rousey was the right answer to Michael Bisping’s question.

However, Rousey is now a part of WWE. She also took a break from her pro-wrestling career for a while, only to come back stronger. She recently returned to WWE and won the Royal Rumble too. As a result, her wrestling career is flourishing. It would be interesting to see what more she can offer to combat sports.
