The 30-year-old UFC fighter hails from the Shahrixon city, which is located in the Andijan Region in the Central Asian nation of Uzbekistan. As such, his nationality is Uzbek, although details about his ethnic background are not available in the public domain. Nursulton Ruziboev has three siblings: two brothers and a sister.
Also, one of Ruziboev’s brothers is a mixed martial artist, just like him. His route to becoming an MMA fighter is an unusual one, as the Uzbek star was troublesome during his younger years. That did have a considerable amount of influence on his decision to choose to be a cage fighter.

Nursulton Ruziboev engaged in an interview with MMA Junkie, where he shared a few words about his upcoming bout against Joaquin Buckley. The Uzbek mentioned that making weight and losing 15 pounds more than he did in his last couple of fights wasn’t that big of a deal for him. “For me, this is easy for 170 right now. Right now, I’m (about 190 pounds) because for me it’s easy, 170. Not too much weight cut,” stated Ruziboev.

Despite moving to the welterweight division, Nursulton Ruziboev did not count out the possibility of taking middleweight fights as well. He plans to compete actively in both divisions. Expressing his wish to talk to Dana White and co. following the Buckley fight, the Uzbek star added, “If possible, I want to fight at middleweight and welterweight.”
Well, the discussions about his 170 lbs and 185 lbs plans will be put on hold for now because he has to get past ‘New Mansa’ first. Will he be able to register a win in the same as his last two fights? That remains to be seen this Saturday in St. Louis, Missouri.
