Sean O’Malley is always up for a bit of fun and marketing. The former UFC bantamweight champion loves video games and collaborates with other streamers to try and woo some of their audience. It’s a bonus that the rainbow-haired striker doesn’t take himself too seriously and is always up for a joke at his expense. After all, popular streamers are often irreverent and funny.
And that sense of humor was on full display as O’Malley streamed himself playing John Madden NFL with popular Twitch streamer ‘Sketch’ (real name- Kylie Cox)., who is a savage. The streamer roasted O’Malley on the usual suspects- his rainbow hair, many tattoos, overall appearance, and of course, his recent loss to Merab Dvalishvili.
One of the more memorable moments came when O’Malley asked Sketch, who wasn’t doing very well in the game “When will you start trying?” To which the streamer quickly retorted with “That’s exactly what I was saying during your [Merab] fight.”

And sitting on the sidelines, enjoying it all was Aljamain Sterling. “Lol what a d**k.,” ‘Aljo’ tweeted along with a clip of Sketch roasting ‘Suga’. It is unclear whom Sterling was directing his remarks towards. But given the history between the two men, it seems to be O’Malley.
Lol what a dick. https://t.co/1IO6SadhxB

After all, ‘Suga’ had beaten ‘Funkmaster’ last year to become champion. And Aljamain Sterling thinks the bout was stopped too early by referee Marc Goddard, and has taken issue with O’Malley’s coach’s conduct during the fight. Sean O’Malley caught ‘Aljo’ with a perfectly placed counter in the second round of their UFC 292 clash to down him and proceeded to rain fists on the downed Sterling.
Sterling ate quite a few strikes from ‘Suga’ without giving anything back, and the referee stepped in to wave off the fight. But Sterling feels that the referee should have let him fight until he went out cold. But since the New Yorker has left the bantamweight division, he is slowly but surely working towards the top in his new weight class.

Aljamain Sterling set to face dangerous undefeated Russian in second featherweight bout
Aljamain Sterling didn’t get an immediate rematch after the O’Malley loss last year. the fact that Sterling couldn’t make it to the end of the second round may have something to do with it, but ‘Aljo’, of course, has maintained that the stoppage was too premature. But now that he has moved up to featherweight, Sterling is making his way up the 145-pound division for a title shot there.
Earlier this year he went three rounds with ranked featherweight Calvin Kattar on UFC 300 and is getting ready to face a potential future title contender in Russian Movsar Evloev. The latter is undefeated in his career so far and has big names like Diego Lopes in his eight-fight resume in the UFC already.

Not to mention the Russian has a formidable ground game, just like Sterling, and is expected to test just how good of a wrestler the former champion really is. Some fans fear their bout may turn into a snoozefest on the ground, while others are excited at the prospect of a grappling masterclass. And this clash will be essential for Sterling. Whoever wins will have a good case to make for fighting a top-5 ranked featherweight next and thus get one step closer to a 145-pound title shot.
