The current UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, is undoubtedly having the best time of his fighting career in the promotion. With a winning streak in eight fights, the 33-year-old has already established what a great fighter he is. At the moment, his record stands at 22 wins and 3 losses, which qualifies him to be the perfect opponent for Henry Cejudo when he returns to the octagon. The year 2023 might witness some glorious fights in the UFC octagon and one of them can be between these two.
Cejudo’s last fight was at UFC 249 back in 2020. However, on several occasions, ‘The Messenger’ has warned the ‘Funk Master’ to get ready to lose in the upcoming fight against him. Even though the UFC has not made any official confirmation regarding their bout, it is strongly believed that they will fight against each other at UFC 287 on April 8th.
Following these speculations from various sources closely associated with the UFC, it is the ‘Funk Master’s Instagram post that indirectly indicates the same.

It’s been quite a while since the UFC planned to have a bantamweight title bout. Additionally, there were rumors spreading that Cejudo might fight against the #1-ranked bantamweight, Sean O’Malley. The two also exchanged tweets in which they said they couldn’t wait to beat each other.
However, the UFC community needs to wait a bit longer to find out who will fight who and, ultimately, who will be victorious. If it’s Sterling, he will be able to achieve nine wins in a row and his third consecutive title defense. The Jamaican fighter’s previous two title matches were against Petr Yan and T.J. Dillashaw.
