The rivalry between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira and their fights kept the fans and professionals glued to their seats. After continuously winning against ‘The Last Stylebender’, Pereira faced defeat in their last bout. Although the rivalry emanated great heat, Adesanya wasn’t the only fighter who had a rivalry with the ‘Poatan’. Pereira’s need to learn English and be able to freely communicate without the help of a translator has seemingly bothered him. He has set the sails to learn English from one of his former rivals.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, the Brazilian fighter declared that he would be learning the language from Sean Strickland during the time he would train with Pereira in Connecticut. Even though Helwani claimed that Strickland was a “bit crazy”, Pereira was ready to welcome his ex-rival with open arms.
