The tension between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira still seems to be high, more than a month after UFC 281. The bout between these two came to an unsatisfactory conclusion for ‘The Stylebender’ who had previously lost to the ‘Poatan’ twice, making the most recent defeat a hat trick.

Recently, Pereira landed a fresh attack on Adesanya for an insulting remark the latter made once, prior to their fight. ‘The Stylebender’ went on record by claiming that “no one knows” who Alex Pereira is, and that certainly didn’t hold up very well, considering how the bout between the two ended.

Before their matchup, Adesanya and Pereira engaged in a significant amount of back and forth, and it is still going strong to this day.

Alex Pereira attacks Israel Adesanya with a savage Instagram post

In a video where Daniel Cormier was summarizing UFC 281, he talked about Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira‘s history. While doing so, Cormier quoted a statement that Adesanya once made about Alex Pereira, where the former stated, “at the end of the day no one knows who the F he is and he’s going to be that guy when I’m the world champion when I’m a legend he’s going to be at some pub talking about I beat him once.”

And a month after his exemplary victory against ‘The Stylebender’, the ‘Poatan’ has come back with a reply to that.

Pereira “”At the end of the day, no one knows who he is” Adesanya”, along with a few excerpts of his fight with Adesanya. Specifically, the ones where ‘The Stylebender’ is taking the damage. It appears that Pereira was waiting for this moment for quite a while, considering the way he chose to respond to such an old statement.

Looks like Pereira still hasn’t finished doing his share to repay his Adesanya, despite defeating him three times in two separate sports.

Pereira will haunt Adesanya

In a post-fight interview after his glorious victory against Israel Adesanya, an interviewer asked Alex Pereira, how he thinks the former will handle this setback. The ‘Poatan’ stated that it won’t be easy for ‘The Stylebender’ to erase this defeat from his mind.

“He is still there for sure, you know what I mean. I don’t know he’s gonna be able to, or how he could possibly erase that KO from his mind. But I know it’s still there.”
