Interestingly, Adesanya is not the first fighter to mock the Brazilian fighter. The last person to do so was Sean Strickland. The result? Strickland laid face flat on the mat at UFC 276.

Alex Pereira’s scathing reply to Adesanya’s revelation

The middleweight fighter took to Instagram to express his displease at Isreal Adesanya’s mockery of him. In the Instagram post, ‘Poatan’ posted a video of Strickland’s interview. However, the video followed with the cut scene where the 35-year-old fighter caught Strickland with his left punch and knocked him out.

Toward the end of the video, a text appeared on the screen- “Full video to be continued Nov 13th”, alluding to the fate the current champion might endure.

In an interview with Dave Blakamoto, ‘The Last Stylebender’ talked about the upcoming event and the fight with his boogeyman. He jokingly stated that he would only employ jabs and kicks from his arsenal. Also, the champion pointed out that he had warned Strickland.

He said, “I tried to warn the f*****g hillbilly, but he didn’t listen to me.”
