UFC superstar Khamzat Chimaev expressed his desire to compete against Alex Pereira. The Borz who was involved in a war with Gilbert Burns, took to his Twitter and said, “I want to fight with this guy @ufc @danawhite let’s make it 👊🏼💥”
Pereira responded to this interest shown by Chimaev. Poatan said, “Well, I wanna keep the same mind as I always do. See what’s in front of me…Same with Sean Strickland’s fight. People talk about Israel’s fight and I say, ‘‘look, I don’t think about this first.’ Right now I am gonna take care of my fight with Israel for the title, and then, after that, we will see about that.”

Israel Adesanya wants to fight Alex Pereira next
At UFC 276, Israel Adesanya made the fifth defense of his 185-pound UFC title against Jared Cannonier. While it may seem that Adesanya is cleaning out the division, The Last Stylebender is aware of the competition. After his victory, Adesanya was vocal about wanting to fight Alex Pereira.
After his win at UFC 276, Adesanya called out Alex Pereira. He said, “We know who’s next…Trust me. The first time I told you, it was an error on my part spamming right hands and that was in kickboxing.”
He further added, “It’s easy to knock out the homeboy…Because he was parrying the jabs. But like I said at the press conference, next time I put you on skates, you’re gonna get frozen like Elsa. I’ll leave it at that.”

If this fight between Pereira and Chimaev is made, it won’t be the first time the two fighters will be meeting. Previously, the duo had fought twice in the sport of kickboxing where Pereira was the victor both times. In one of their fights, Pereira landed a left hook to knock Adesanya out. This is the only time The Last Stylebender has been knocked out until now.
