‘Poatan’ looks like he’s planning for what’s ahead of him. He recently mentioned having no interest in fighting Israel Adesanya again and is considering a move to the heavyweight division. However, Alex Pereira is not going to leave any stone unturned if he does decide to make that move. Although he has the physique to compete in the heavyweight division, the light heavyweight champion wants to be fully prepared before making that move. Pereira said, “I’ll fight anybody, anywhere. I have the height and the size of a heavyweight, but this is a thing that’s got to be programmed, put some work in.”

Furthermore, the Brazilian ace also mentioned that he cannot take the move to the heaviest division in the UFC lightly. He mentioned that there is a chance that he might make the jump, but not right now. “It’s not just something I jump in on. I want to make things the right way. I can definitely fight at heavyweight.
