Jon Jones seems to chasing legacy fights now that he is in the twilight of his incomparable UFC run. As such, the heavyweight champion was looking to earn a super fight against Alex Pereira. However, Dana White doesn’t seem that excited about that fight, and he’s made it clear that Tom Aspinall is the one next in line to fight the consensus MMA GOAT.
But does the interim champion stand a chance against ‘Bones’? Well, Alex Pereira has given his final verdict on that situation. Pereira’s plans to become the first fighter to hold three divisional UFC titles seem to have taken the back seat as many credible 205-pound contenders are eager to get a title shot against ‘Poatan’.
Amidst this, the Brazilian recently talked about the potential Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall fight, and his prediction for that fight may not make the Englishman too happy. Even though Aspinall has potentially cleared the division, the Brazilian still believes that Jon Jones’ experience will come into play and that’s how ‘Bones’ will come out on top.

“I think Jon Jones has a lot of experience on his side. Some people say Aspinall this, Aspinall that, but it comes down to experience,” Alex Pereira told TNT Sports. “Jon Jones is a seasoned guy. He’s been there, so I think he wins.”
Tom Aspinall has been finishing his opponents ever since he joined the UFC, and he has a 100 percent finish rate when it comes to his run in Dana White’s promotion. But Alex Pereira doesn’t seem convinced about him finishing Jon Jones because the best of the best fighters that the UFC has ever seen never had any answers for ‘Bones’ inside the Octagon.
But is that fight happening? Well, a UFC insider recently expressed a bit of confidence about the biggest heavyweight clash, and he believes it’s going to happen, eventually.

Jon Anik makes a confident statement about the possible Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall clash
Last month, UFC play-by-play commentator Jon Anik revealed that Jon Jones’s wish to fight Alex Pereira would not materialize, and thus, confirmed Dana White’s statement. He also hopped on the bandwagon, claiming that the undisputed champion fighting the interim champion Tom Aspinall is “the fight” to make, and is confident that the bout will happen inevitably.
“Even though Jon Jones isn’t the natural heavyweight in body that Tom Aspinall is, he’s not going to fight Alex Pereira right now. He’s going to fight Tom Aspinall,” Jon Anik told ‘MMA Junkie’. Besides, even Dana White claims that it’s time for Jon Jones to give back to the UFC. Just like how he got the chance from the veterans in the past to show how good he is, the UFC CEO feels like now ‘Bones’ should give that chance to Tom Aspinall.

“Opportunities were given to Jon Jones. He was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time. Now where he sits, he has an obligation to give that to the younger guy and give him that opportunity,” Dana White stated on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’.
The date and the venue of Dana White’s plan for this heavyweight clash is still not clear yet, but it will surely be one of the biggest fights ever. What do you have to say about Jon Jones taking on Tom Aspinall? Drop your predictions in the comments down below.
