‘Wonderboy’ joint submission radio to look back at an amazing career and talk about the latest fights at UFC. While speaking about UFC 307 the talk eventually went into winner predictions and he left quite a warning for Alex Pereira’s opponent. He complimented the Brazilian champion on his striking abilities and said that it could be a deadly weapon.
He said, “I think the best right now, is the thing is he is very very good. He has a big name right, he is one of the most popular guys in the UFC because of his striking. And that is in Alex Pereira. Alex is very calm when he is out there fighting, which is very rare to see in this game. He is somebody who stays as calm as he is, even if he is in the heat, even if he is hurt he stays focused on what he has gotta do and he gets it done. I think when it comes to accuracy, he is on point knocking everybody out with that left hook.”
He is insinuating that ‘Poatan’s’ most dangerous weapon is his left hook as well as his calm demeanor which is hard to break for his opponents. When it comes to his stoic expressions even fans have lightheartedly made fun of his ability to not show any emotions on his face. He always keeps a straight face even before his fight, during his fight, and even when he wins a fight. However, when it comes to showing his emotions through actions he is always a pro. Even before his mega-fight he indulged in some charity work and showed his love and care for his community.

For the fans who are unaware, the Brazilian grew up in the streets of Sao Paulo and his childhood was not a bed of roses. Sometimes it was so hard that he even had to sleep without having a single bite of food and this is a fear that he had revealed while giving back to his community recently. In a video that was released by UFC ahead of his 307 fight against Khalil Rountree, Pereira revisited his neighborhood of Batistini. This is the place he was born and raised in and according to the light heavyweight champion he was blessed, and now had more than he ever required.

This is why the champion decided to help out his community and reveal that he did not want the kids in his neighborhood to grow up like him, with the fear of not having basic amenities like food. ‘Poatan’ delivered more than 1000 boxes of food and essentials to help many families. He said, “We are in the Batistini neighborhood. This is where I was born and raised. We’re going to give away over a thousand boxes, helping over 1,000 families. It’s something I’ve been doing for a while. My reality used to be theirs. I went through a lot of hardship, but my biggest fear was always being hungry. So if I can do something to help, I’ll do it.”
He generously gave back to his community and gave a speech in which the champ said that he was glad to be able to help out in some way or the other. He might be known as stone-cold in the UFC world but has a heart of gold and even helped out during a massive flood in the southern part of the country previously. ‘Poatan’ donated over $100,000 to help the people who were affected due to the flood. The champion wants to make the world a better place but he’s still going to stay stone cold inside the octagon. On that note are you ready to see his left hook at UFC 307?
