After his dominant victory over Scott Sigmon at Triller Triad Combat, Albert Tumenov has asked UFC President Dana White and matchmaker Sean Shelby for a return to the UFC.

The 29-year-old Russian was in control of the bout from the start as he landed blows on his opponent throughout the fight. As a result, winning all 7 rounds against “Cujo” and securing a victory through unanimous decision at Triller’s Triad Combat.

The event had a mix of some new and unique sets of rules derived from both boxing and MMA. Chiefly,this was an experiment that was new and exciting for the fans.

Following his win, ‘Einstein’ requested the UFC decision-makers for a shot ainthe top MMA championship. He told MMAJunkie, I want to say, Dana White, Sean Shelby, I always put on a fire show, I am the best boxer in MMA. Give me f*cking contract, and I promise, Dana, you will not regret it.”

Notably, Tumenov isn’t all talk. He has won all of his fights at ACB(Absolute Championship Berkut), a Russian Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu promotion that he joined after leaving UFC, scraping in five consecutive victories before signing with Triller.

Albert Tumenov’s history at the UFC

‘Einstein’ made his debut at the UFC in 2014. Tumenov fought Ildemar Alcantra at UFC Fight Night 36, however, he lost the bout via split decision.

The former UFC welterweight fighter has had an overall impressive track record at the promotion. Tumenov (22-4) is an eight-fight veteran at the UFC, with 5 wins and 3 losses to his name. Furthermore, he’s encountered some of the best-rated fighters in his division, namely, Leon Edwards, Gunnar Nelson, and Alan Jouban.

Despite this, he lost two of his last fights via submission in the UFC, before being released from the organization.

In case he doesn’t get a contract from the UFC, the Russian has also stated that he’s happy to return to Triller for any sort of match. “Triangle, ring, octagon – for me, it doesn’t matter,” Tumenov stated. “I’m ready for any level.”
