Continuing with his one-sided internet feud with Conor McGregor, YouTuber turned Celebrity boxer, Jake Paul is back at it with another dig against the UFC superstar. With Bellator’s A.J. McKee picking up an emphatic win over Patricio Pitbull at Bellator 263, Jake Paul put out a quick tweet claiming that the newly crowned Bellator Featherweight Champion ‘would kill 2015 McGregor.’
The ‘2015 McGregor’ phrase is a throwback to the year that Conor McGregor emerged as the biggest attraction in the sport of MMA. Having spent two years in the UFC, McGregor picked up a second-round win over Chad Mendes to claim the interim featherweight title in July. However, this would not be the highlight of the Irishman’s year as he shocked the world by knocking out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds to capture the Featherweight title at UFC 194.

Just a few weeks prior to the third fight between McGregor and Dustin Poirier, Paul bought himself a $100,000 ‘ sleepy McGregor’ chain. i.e. A custom-made chain that recreated McGregor’s infamous pose after his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.
What’s more, to further antagonize the Irishman publically, Jake Paul gifted the chain to Dustin Poirier after his second victory over Conor McGregor at UFC 264. With celebrity boxing bouts quickly becoming a staple form of entertainment, Paul has his eyes set on a boxing bout with McGregor. But before that, he must face another test in the ring.
Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley
Despite all the controversy and criticism, Jake Paul has taken the world of combat sports by storm. The internet sensation now has a professional boxing record of three wins and zero losses. Oddly, all these bouts were against untrained boxers. However, his latest win over former UFC Welterweight, Ben Askren seems to have added some credibility to his boxing endeavors.
Now, the 24-year-old will face former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, for his fourth professional boxing bout. Hosted under the banner of Showtime, the bout will take place on the 29th of August at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.

Even though Jake will step into the ring with a relatively older Tyron Woodley, this is the first time he will face an opponent with genuine punching power. Woodley has also been taking a few boxing lessons from Floyd Mayweather to prepare for the bout.
The former MMA phenom is looking to kick-start his boxing career with a win over the younger Paul brother. Known for his athleticism and explosiveness, Tyron Woodley could be the opponent that brings Jake Paul’s boxing dreams to a screeching halt.
