Arman Tsarukyan is currently one of the most exciting fighters on the roster. The 27-year-old has shown massive improvements in his short career. ‘Akhalkalakets’ is all set to face Beneil Dariush in his next fight in the Lightweight division. However, the 27-year-old feels that Islam Makhachev’s move to the 170-pound Welterweight Division is uninteresting.

Tsarukyan, while speaking to MMA World, further emphasized on the fact that he is ready to fight Makhachev if given the opportunity. Interestingly, both the fighters previously met in the ring, and the Dagestani came out on top. If Tsarukyan wins fights consistently, we might see a possible rematch between the two.

With an impressive win at UFC fight night, Vettori vs. Cannonier, Tsarukyan, shocked everyone after he called out Islam Makhachev. The Russian-Armenian put up a fantastic display against Joaquim Silva and ended the fight in the third round knockout via a stoppage. During his post-fight interview, the 27-year-old fighter expressed his desire for a rematch against Makhachev.

Tsarukyan claims he had only three weeks to prepare for the first fight. With Makhachev ready to move to Welterweight in order to become a two-weight champion. Tsarukyan feels his move in the 170 pounds is of no use to him. While speaking to XTRA MMA on You Tube, Tsarukyan said: ‘”No, it’s not my interest. Well, Makhachev is a big name, so our rematch would be a big step forward for me. Well, how can I not agree with that? Why would I train if I didn’t think I could give him a tough fight?'”

‘Akhalkalakets’ is in the form of his life and has won seven out of his past eight fights. He not only defeated Silva but also got his hands raised against Damir Ismagulov, Joel Alvarez, and Matt Frevola. If the Russian-Armenian can pull off a victory against Beneil Dariush, we might see him against Makhachev soon. But what happened when the fighters met for the first time?
