However, recently, former UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo praised Umar Nurmagomedov openly in one of his YouTube videos. Umar Nurmagomedov is a rising star in the MMA world.

He has an undefeated record of 16-0 and has finished 9 of his opponents. Umar Nurmagomedov made his UFC debut in January 2021 and dominated his opponent, Sergey Morozov, with his grappling skills, winning the fight via a rear-naked choke in the second round. He even won the performance of the night bonus for his last fight against Raoni Barcelos.

Henry Cejudo praises Umar Nurmagomedov

Cejudo, in his recent YouTube video, said that Nurmagomedov is the most dangerous fighter at 135 pounds. He also praised Nurmagomedov’s vast set of skills as a well-rounded fighter who can wrestle, strike, and box. Cejudo‘s endorsement is significant because he is one of the most accomplished fighters in the sport’s history.

“Umar is the most dangerous guy man, I am gonna say it right now. At 135 pounds, Umar Nurmagomedov is the toughest challenge for any of the dudes, including myself. He can wrestle, he can strike, he can box, he is well-rounded. He has seen his brother and his cousin win world titles, and he wants to be next.”

Nurmagomedov was grateful for Cejudo‘s praise and tweeted his appreciation. “Triple C know Thank you so much champ and good luck,” he wrote.

Henry Cejudo’s comeback fight

Henry Cejudo is a former UFC bantamweight and flyweight champion. The world knows Cejudo for his Olympic wrestling background. The former UFC double champ has defeated some of the biggest names in the sport, including Demetrious Johnson and TJ Dillashaw. He announced his retirement in May 2020.

Cejudo will face Aljamain Sterling on May 6, 2023, at UFC 288 for the UFC Bantamweight Championship, nearly three years after his last fight. Fans are waiting for him to return to the octagon.
