UFC welterweight prospect, Themba ’The Answer’ Gorimbo won against Pete Rodriguez with an incredible TKO in just 32 seconds of round 1, at UFC Vegas 85. The 33-year-old Zimbabwean fighter is now on a 2-fight winning streak, holding a 2-1 record in the UFC. Gorimbo’s story about his life making it to the UFC and being grateful for what his little possessions had touched the hearts of fans across the world.

His story was even acknowledged by none other than superstar, Dwayne Johnson himself. The two seem to share quite a bond as ‘The Rock’ bought ‘The Answer’ a house, after knowing that the Zimbabwean was sleeping on the couch of the gym. A recent Instagram post showed that the two still keep in contact.

Dwayne Johnson Congratulates Themba Gorimbo on his win

In a recent Instagram post after the fight against Pete Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 235, Themba Gorimbo posted a screen recording of a FaceTime call that he and Johnson had before his fight against Rodriguez. The screen recording showed the two having a long conversation, but it is unknown what the two had talked about as Gorimbo added music to the post.

The Instagram post by ‘The Answer’ had a caption thanking ‘The Rock’ for reaching out, that wrote, “Don’t make me cry next time before a fight, my brother. @therock. Thank you brother. Pay it forward.”

The screen recording video had none other than Dwayne Johnson comment on the post, congratulating Gorimbo for his quick knockout against Rodriguez. The comment wrote, “Incredible win my brother. We’re all so proud of vou. Keep climbing that mountain and inspiring everyone along the way. Congrats to you, your coaches and TEAM. Love U !!”

Dwayne Johnson and Themba Gorimbo seem to share a very special bond with one another. It would not be surprising to see Dwayne Johnson support the Zimbabwean more as his career progresses in the future.

The Rock buys Gorimbo a house after hearing his circumstance

Thembo Gorimbo found himself in quite a predicament after he won his fight at UFC Fight Night 73. The Zimbabwean fighter had sent almost all of his fight purse back to Zimbabwe, leaving him with only $7 in his name. ‘The Answer’ was grateful for being able to sleep on the couch of his Gym and had absolutely no complaints. This Story caught the eyes of none other than UFC superstar, Dwayne Johnson.

The Former WWE superstar decided to go out of his way to help the Zimbabwean fighter, making a wild purchase of a house for Gorimbo and his family to live in. This brought the African fighter to tears making for one of the most wholesome moments in social media.
