Conor McGregor and Henry Cejudo had one of the most entertaining back-and-forths over the weekend. The Irishman took a jab at Cejudo after his loss at UFC 288. McGregor uploaded a video showing what Cejudo could have done to win the fight. Clearly meant as a troll on Cejudo’s fight breakdowns, McGregor’s presentation had the internet rolling with laughter.

A few hours later, Cejudo clapped back with a few insults of his own. He even took a few shots at McGregor’s current standoff with USADA. However, this exchange did not escalate to ugly levels as both parties stuck to sneaky jibes at each other.

Cejudo’s former opponent and friend-cum-training partner Demetrious Johnson recently addressed this Twitter beef. ‘Might Mouse’ was talking to Ariel Helwani on a recent episode of ‘The MMA Hour.’ The pair discussed Johnson’s recent trilogy win over Adrian Moraes at ONE Championship’s US debut and his retirement plans.

Toward the end of the conversation, Helwani asked him about the McGregor-Cejudo beef. The ONE Flyweight champion had a wholesome reply to the question.

Demetrious Johnson chimes in on Conor McGregor trolling Henry Cejudo

Much like a lot of fans, Demetrious Johnson had a good laugh watching Conor McGregor troll Henry Cejudo. He said, “F***ing Conor. Good for you. It’s all fun and games…”

Nevertheless, he added that there were things that McGregor could learn from Cejudo- “I think the things that Henry says, I think it’s actually legitimate stuff that all of us can learn from, right? We all can learn something from everybody.”

The former UFC champion gave everyone credit and said they could all learn something from the other- “I learned a lot from Conor- the way he manages distance and he throws with a lot of power, everything he has you know. But, for Conor, I think, you know, there’s a whole bunch of sh*t I can tell Conor.”

However, he also acknowledged that Cejudo had a far more impressive resume than Conor McGregor. But the 36-year-old said it did not matter as they might want different things: “You look at their resumes, Henry Cejudo’s is way better than Conor’s resume. But at the end of the day, it’s based on what people want… Does he [Conor] want to keep on winning?”

Demetrious Johnson defended his friend without raising any animosity against McGregor. He gave both fighters their due credit and dismissed the beef as fun and games.
