There is no fighter in the UFC who’s a bigger superstar than Conor McGregor. He has transcended the octagon and successfully made waves as an entrepreneur. Having tasted so much success, McGregor, who isn’t satisfied, announced his arrival into Hollywood. ‘The Notorious’ revealed he will be making his silver screen debut alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in their upcoming movie, Road House.
With the Irishman making his debut on the silver screen, he’s attracted the eyeballs of another A-lister towards him.

Mark Wahlberg has come out and expressed his wish to put Conor McGregor in one of his upcoming films. On the ‘Pardon my take’ podcast, the $400 million worth actor said, “Listen, I’ve been a huge fan of the UFC and I’m a huge fan of Conor. I think what he was able to do for himself and for the sport was fantastic.”
The ‘Ted’ star spoke about his willingness to do a movie with McGregor, saying, “I gotta get Conor. I gotta get him to be in a movie.”

The hosts further suggested that Wahlberg remake the 2000 movie Snatch and bring Conor McGregor in as an actor in that film, opining that he would be great in a movie.

‘Mystic Mac‘ had also challenged Mark Wahlberg to a fight in 2018. When reminded of the same, the actor revealed that he was considering it, but his son told him to drop the idea.
Conor McGregor will make his Hollywood debut in Roadhouse
The Irish fighter has a chance to prove his acting chops to the audience and fans are looking forward to seeing how Conor McGregor fares in his debut film, Road House.

While the news of his Hollywood debut is out, there is still no clarity on his return to the octagon. It may happen next year, i.e. UFC 283.
UFC 282 remains open (Jon Jones has expressed his interest in the PPV), but McGregor’s return may be put on the back burner due to his film commitments. However, ‘The Notorious‘ will hope to impress one and all with his acting debut. This could motivate Mark Wahlberg to collaborate with him on a movie.
