Brendan Schaub declared that he could beat Joe Rogan. Schaub is a former UFC Heavyweight contender who finished as a runner-up in The Ultimate Fighter’s 10th season in 2009 after losing to Roy Nelson. The fighter found relative success in the UFC world and started his career with a 4-1 record. However, he was out of business by 2014 with a record of 10-5-0 and lost his last match to Travis Browne at UFC 181. Schaub appeared on the #1811 episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ in April 2022 and the two men struck up a cord since then. However, it seems like the 41-year-old wants to take on Joe Rogan despite them being friends. 

The color commentator was a martial artist before he became the UFC voice, so he does have a lot of experience in fighting. However, the heavyweight fighter thinks he can defeat Rogan. During a recent appearance at ‘The Fighter and The Kid’ while discussing Rogan’s physique, Schaub reflected on why even though the 56-year-old is a “monster”, he cannot beat a UFC fighter. The 41-year-old, who ranked 10th in the heavyweight rankings, revealed that he, “would beat the sh*t out of [Rogan].” 

Meanwhile, one look at both their physique shows the mismatch in their proportions. Rogan is 5’6” and 200 lbs while Schaub is 6’ and 245 pounds inside the cage. When asked about whether Joe Rogan could kick, Brendan Schaub claimed “Absolutely,” while adding, “For a guy who’s never competed professionally, he can kick like a motherf*cker.” 

The heavyweight knows the podcaster’s prowess and complimented him on his strength. He also added that if Rogan was put against any celebrity, he could beat them to a pulp. However, as per Schaub, though Rogan is a black belt in jiu-jitsu, he is only deadly from a civilian’s perspective. Then he went on to declare himself more powerful than Rogan.

Schaub, who also disagreed with Rogan on the Apex arena matter, thinks he can beat the podcaster. This snippet of the conversation was seen by the Reddit UFC followers and they had a completely different take on the matter.

The followers on Reddit did not lose one moment to call out the fighter and his stance on who would win. One follower declared, “Ranked top 10 in the world? No Bubbah, you were a contender in the UFC in a depleted vacant weight class, because that’s how the heavyweight division is. You get a star for 2 fights if you’re lucky, then some equally heavy huge guy will come in and knock you out and take the throne. That happened to you 3 times… 3 times… top 10? lol.”

There was an incident where Schaub lost via TKO in the first round to Travis Browne and after that, the color commentator, along with Bryan Callen, advised him to retire and start a comedy career. This might have started a little beef, maybe? On that note, another follower chimed in, “I’d love to see Brendan take Joe down.”

One Reddit user pointed out that Rogan’s friend might be resentful towards him and said, “Bapa has so much resentment toward Toe,” while another wrote, “This isn’t even a question, Schaub has finished Rogan off countless times before.” Joe Rogan and Schaub already differ in the Apex arena conversation, where Rogan thinks the fights are intense in the arena while Schaub disagrees. Now there might be another feud regarding who would win if there was a clash between the two friends.

Ambiguous enough to leave the question open while insinuating he’s got the win in hand. Big miss,” a fan commented. The friendship was put to the test when Rogan asked him to retire. Maybe that is why at present Schaub talks about defeating him. Most fans supported Rogan and declared that he would win. One follower even wrote, “But Rogan’s got violence in his DNA, Bapa.”
