‘Gimmick’ fights or crossover fights have been really popular lately and for all the good reasons. These are usually big money fights and both fighters end up taking away a big, fat paycheck. Naturally, other fighters are also joining the bandwagon. McGregor’s best friend, Dillon Danis is scheduled to fight Logan Paul in a boxing bout.

Now, it seems another fighter is pondering a lucrative YouTube fight. Former UFC star Darren Till is the latest name in the fight game to have expressed interest in partaking in a ‘big purse’ crossover fight.

In a recent YouTube interview, the interviewer informed Till that retired UFC BMF champ Jorge Masvidal has said that he would be interested in training Elon Musk. He then asked Till if he would be interested in training the Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. “Yeah… I mean I would, but… [yawns]. The only thing with that is… obviously all these YouTube fights and everything – you know I’ll be chasing them and everything. Like that’s good and well outside your seat.“, replied Till, admitting to the fact that ‘YouTube fights’ is something he is interested in. However, he immediately proceeded to smash the stigma around these fights by saying, “It’s all gimmicky but you know what? If you got the offer, you’d be stupid to turn it down.“.

According to sources, Diaz supposedly made somewhere between $15 million to $20 million. However, the numbers haven’t been confirmed yet.

The whole world watched with bated breath as the social media banter between the Tesla CEO and Meta CEO evolved into a call to a ‘cage fight’ in the UFC Octagon. The stage was set. UFC fighters had nominated themselves to help train Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. In fact, both had started training with their respective trainers as well. However, the fight fell through recently, when Zuckerberg called it off. Elon Musk didn’t hold back when he took a dig at Zuckerberg for calling it off.

Talking about that fight, Till seemed to be a little on the fence about the scale of it. However, he did lean into it at the end. “You know, I don’t know. It’s just all a little bit mad. Two of the most richest people in the world are fighting each other but you know what? If that’s what’s gonna float the boat and we got it done in the Colosseum in Italy… why not?“.
