Recently, Drake took to his Instagram handle to reveal how much money he lost after betting on Sterling versus O’Malley. The ‘One Dance’ singer lost a whopping $500,000 after predicting that Sterling was going to win. After considering the past fights with Sterling, many, including Drake, believed that the ‘Funk Master’ would win the battle. Earlier, he even defended his bantamweight title three times. However, when he locked horns with the Helena native, things took an unexpected turn.

When Sterling and O’Malley joined forces, they kept UFC fans on the edge of their seats. Breaking the hopes of Sterling’s fans, ‘Suga’ brought down the ‘Funk Master’ from the top. In the very first round, many believed that Sterling was going to win the bout as he used combinations of low and high kicks. On the other hand, O’Malley stuck to perfect strikes and some occasional shallow moves. However, when the bout reached the second round within 51 seconds, ‘Suga’ knocked out ‘Funk Master.’ This unexpected loss of Sterling resulted in Drake losing huge money. Drake made headlines when he lost $250,000 after betting on Nate Diaz. Before that, he had lost several bets, and the continued losses made people believe in the “Drake Curse.” Before the bout between Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, the ‘God’s Plan’ hit maker wagered on ‘Gamebred’ and ended up losing $27,000. Later in the year, he faced a significant loss after placing a bet on Justin Gaethje, who was defeated by Charles Oliveira at UFC 274.
