Conor McGregor is notoriously known for his rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov. Although the duo technically settled it in the Octagon, the rivalry still goes on. The former double champion even attacked Joe Rogan and called him a “tick“. Surprisingly, the fighter found yet another tick.

Recently, the ‘Notorious’ unleashed a flurry of tweets targeting Anthony Smith. Smith claimed that McGregor was on some kind of steroid. However, the fighter took offense and lashed out using Twitter.

Conor McGregor found a new tick

The fire was ignited a long while ago when Anthony ‘Lionheart’ Smith claimed that Conor McGregor was on steroids. He said, “Anybody who’s broken their leg has taken a long time. He’s seemingly pretty healed up. It just bugs me that he gets to jump out of the pool, juice up on whatever he’s juiced up, and then just jump back in the pool and no one’s going to say sh*t about it.”

However, the former double champion didn’t take Smith’s word well. McGregor recently retweeted a video clip of ‘Lionheart’ being carried away after his injury in UFC 277. He wrote, “Hahahaah walk it off you little tick. Broken my leg my bollox. Embarrassing!”

The ‘Notorious’ wrote in a previous tweet, “I thought you broke your leg yourself in your last fight lol you little dope. You embarrassment of a man! Keep my name out of your f**king mouth. Prick.” Furthermore, he questioned the audacity of Smith for calling him a cheater.

Additionally, McGregor claimed that he gave his everything to the sport and that he was the most tested fighter in combat sports. However, the fact that the former champion targeted someone other than Khabib Nurmagomedov, took hold of the UFC fans.

Conor McGregor’s tick with Joe Rogan

In the second round of his fight with Nurmagomedov, McGregor pounded the grounded opponent with his knee. Although the audience cheered the act, Joe Rogan called it “an illegal knee“. Without a doubt, the ‘Notorious’ took offense and called the UFC commentator a fool.

The ‘Mystic Mac’ said, “That was an illegal knee on the head of a grounded opponent… Joe, you little fool. What are you talking about ‘smash this and smash that’? What was smashed? My knee into his f**king eye socket yeah?… ‘That’s a knee to a grounded opponent!’ Call the cops. F**king tick ye.”

But in the end, the bout went to Nurmagomedov with superior grappling skills and a submissive McGregor. Although the rivalry between the two fighters helped generate significant revenue, fans indeed desired a rematch before Nurmagomedov retired.
