There’s no denying Joe Rogan’s potential influence on Republican candidate Donald Trump’s re-election as the President of the United States. A former critic of the 47th President, Joe Rogan ended up endorsing the billionaire and became one of his biggest allies. However, that doesn’t mean that Trump only won because of his friends such as Rogan and Elon Musk. In fact, it looks like his victory had a lot to do with the never-give-up mindset that set him apart from all his competitors in both presidential races.
Talking to former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, the JRE host revealed that Donald Trump might be a ‘psycho’ with a ‘maniac mindset’. But what does he mean by that? Well, according to the UFC color commentator, Donald Trump is fearless and does not hide from public scrutiny. He is the man who wrote, “I hate Taylor Swift!” on his social media despite knowing the backlash he would face. This headstrong attitude is what keeps him going, according to Joe Rogan.
He said, “You have to be a psycho, and he’s kind of a psycho. You have to be the type of person that tweets, ‘I hate Taylor Swift’. It’s just a maniac mindset. Without that, you don’t keep fighting.” The JRE host further revealed that many people actually wished that Trump was hit during the two attempts on his life during the elections. This level of hate towards the POTUS is something that the UFC commentator and podcaster does not understand. While being opposed to one’s candidacy is fine, the idea of being happy at the threat to someone’s life isn’t something that sits well with The Joe Rogan Experience host, as he said on the podcast.

Rogan’s confession on the podcast really shows the respect the JRE host now has for Trump. But do you know this bandwagon of hate is what actually led Joe Rogan to show his support to the billionaire instead? This massive turn from his previous persona of being a staunch critic of the billionaire to someone who speaks highly of him didn’t happen overnight. But what was the exact moment that turned Joe Rogan on his side? Let’s find out!

How did Joe Rogan become a Donald Trump supporter?
During episode #2226 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC commentator revealed the real reason why he started supporting Donald Trump despite refusing to do interviews with him in the past. As per Joe Rogan, he wanted to keep himself away from the billionaire due to the constant heat he attracted from people. However, things soon changed for him after the same people started going after him instead.

He said, “Back then, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be a part of this.’ Too many people were angry, too many people pissed off. I was like, ‘I don’t need to,’ and I didn’t pay attention to it enough. I didn’t pay attention to, um, the way they were misrepresenting things he had said enough. Yeah, I didn’t really… My wake-up call was when they went after me.” During the pandemic, Rogan claimed that he used Ivermectin for treatment. For the unaware, it is a dr-g primarily used as a veterinary dewormer.
However, CNN then started reporting on it, accusing the UFC commentator of spreading misinformation. This led Rogan, who previously identified himself as a Democrat, to align himself with the Republican candidate Donald Trump. The JRE host realized the tendency of the media to misrepresent the original context to turn people against a person is something that he then believed often happens with Donald Trump. But little did anyone know that this turn would lead to the billionaire becoming the President of the United States for the second time. What do you think of Joe Rogan’s shift in stance towards ‘The Apprentice’ star? Do you think Rogan endorsing him had anything to do with the re-election? Let us know in the comments.
