With confirmations from both Pereira and Merle, the split is certainly a reality. Merle maintained her silence for a while, however, it seems like the presenter has finally decided to open up.

It was only after a few days that Pereira and Merle confirmed the actual breakup.

Following the breakup rumors, Pereira uploaded multiple posts on his Instagram handle, showcasing his camaraderie in life, but there were hardly any responses from Merle. But now, the TV presenter has had enough of the rumors game. Merle has finally come forward to explain the disputes in the relationship.

Merle, through her social media platform, explained that the news about the breakup was certainly true. However, she urged people not to share any further comments on them and wished Pereira a successful career. “I want to make a little statement before I start the new year. It seems like all these comments and rumors are not stopping. I think it’s important to make a little statement. Sometimes relationships don’t work, and people are starting to think their different ways. This is something everybody has to respect. It doesn’t mean there is bad blood between these two people, so I would appreciate it if people would stop commenting. I wish Alex all the best, all the best, lots of success in his career.”

The relationship may have come to an end, but it is commendable that both individuals maintained their composure after the breakup. Amidst the hubbub, there’s a ray of hope for the fans and that is Pereira’s schedule for 2024.
