Bobby Green didn’t get the outcome he expected in this first fight of 2023. His showdown against Jared Gordon ended in a no-contest after he accidentally hit ‘Flash’ with an inadvertent headbutt at UFC Vegas 71 event where Sergei Pavlovich extended his winning streak to six fights. ‘King’ Green expressed his frustration in the post-fight press conference and demanded to get paid for the fight.
‘King’ was on a two-fight losing streak heading into the fight against Jared Gordon this past weekend. He needed a win to get himself back into the fore and challenge for the title. Green started the fight well in the first round. He went for a jab in the closing stages of the fight, only to get his head into a clash with Jared Gordon’s.

‘King’ was visibly upset during the post-fight press conference. He let out his frustration and said, “We’re gonna let some feelings out today. F*** this, f*** this, and f*** this.” Bobby Green went on to explain what transpired in his fight at UFC Vegas 71. He added, “I get it. We f***in clashed heads. I was trying to go for an elbow and he [Jared Gordon] kinda dipped his head [and] we kinda clashed.”

However, Green claims that Gordon was still looking good after the headbutt and tried to put him in a submission. He said, “But he was still f***in moving. He was trying to put me in a f***ing triangle. I fought the triangle sh*t off and he was still moving fine. Pow! then he was f***ed up. he was still straight.” Moreover, he demanded that the UFC pay him the money he is owed for participating in the fight. “They want to try to slide me on my money. That’s what I am mad about. I need my money, bro. I need my money,” said Bobby Green.

There were many fans who claimed that Bobby Green clearly cheated with the headbutt. They took a jibe at him for flexing a pile of cash amounting to around $60,000 at the pre-fight press conference. Some even claimed that ‘King’ didn’t have a proper technique, which led to the inadvertent head clash. However, there were some fans who believed the UFC should pay the fighters for their participation in the fights.
Bobby Green initially won the fight with a knockout. But after the officials took a look at the stoppage, the match was ruled a no-contest. He was able to maintain his composure after the no-contest ruling, but let out all his anger after the fight.
