The UFC authorities have provided quite a number of enthralling events for the fans this year. Although the initial PPV of 2023, the UFC 283, turned out to be a lackluster one, the following PPVs reclaimed their glory with massive crowd attendances. The series of enthraller events started with UFC 284, which presented an absolute war between Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev in the main event. However, a number of UFC fans might agree that the UFC 287, featuring Adesanya’s enticing knockout victory over his archrival Alex Pereira, was also one of the biggest PPVs of this year. But, we must not forget that the second half of the year is yet to arrive. For the end half of the year too, Dana White and the UFC authorities have probably decided to give it all to the fans.
Even the famed UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, couldn’t help getting excited about the mind-boggling fight card of the upcoming UFC 291. A lot of fans might know about the touted main event of UFC 291 featuring a Lightweight bout between Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier and Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje for the reinstated, ‘BMF’ title. Apparently, it also excited the noted comedians, Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir, who joined Rogan on a recent episode of his coveted podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ #1991.

Surprisingly, this time it wasn’t Rogan who drifted the conversation toward the UFC. The four personalities talked about how different types of commentary skills were required for different sports. They also touched on UFC commentary and lauded the famed UFC play-by-play commentator, Jon Anik.
While Rogan was mentioning how he loved commentating on UFC events, it was Mark Normand who brought the UFC 291 into the conversation. He stated, “That salt lake city lineup though. It’s bananas.” The 55-year-old couldn’t have agreed more with his comedian friend as he made a whooting sound. He then stated, “Justin Gaethje vs Dustin Poirier. Holy s**t.” Numerous UFC fans might share Rogan’s excitement in this regard.

They had witnessed an absolute slugfest when these coveted lightweights collided inside the octagon for the first time. But this time, the stakes would be even higher. The coveted ‘BMF’ belt of UFC on the line this time is bound to push both fighters to their limits.
Normand got completely absorbed in the excitement around him and revealed, “Gaethje is my favorite.” Rogan also added out of his excitement, “Yeah, the whole fu**ing card is bananas. That’s a big one man.”
Quite apparently, Normand wasn’t into this alone. Probably millions of fans will also chant ‘The Highlight’s’ name on the night of 29 July 2023.
