On his podcast Believe You Me #427, the former middleweight champion shared the mic with producer Mike Harrington. The duo talked about various topics like Kevin Holland’s matchup against Wonderboy Thompson, Bo Nickal’s retirement threats, and Michael Chandler getting a title shot.
Additionally, on the podcast, the duo discussed the recent trash talk ‘The Count’ faced with Conor McGregor.
Michael Bisping’s concluding comments on Conor McGregor
Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor in a now-deleted tweet had taken a dig at ‘The Count’. He took shots at the Brit’s acting career. To this, Bisping was left scratching his head.
On the podcast, Bisping played the audio that McGregor sent him on Twitter. It was typical McGregor behavior, maybe the Dublin-born later came to his senses, nobody knows.
Regardless, McGregor says in the audio, “The last part I saw [of the podcast], I saw you didn’t understand that I was simply acting, and I, I thought you would have known brother.”
Following this, Bisping revealed on his podcast, “I saw that [McGregor’s DM], and I played it. I just laughed.”
The ‘Never Back Down’ franchise star continued, “I mean, you know, fair play whatever. As I said on Twitter, there ain’t no beef at this end.”
He concluded, “You know what I mean, he starts talking sh*t, I’m gonna respond likewise. But, uh, yeah I wish him all the best.”
With this statement, Bisping has put down curtails on the brewing feud, at least from his side.
The UFC Hall of Fame fighter is currently shooting ‘Red Sonja‘ in Bulgaria, and the direction duties lie with M.J. Bassett.
How Bisping played a part in McGregor’s rise?
While the feud could be called ‘short-lived’, it sure kept the fans hooked and excited. Surprisingly to all, the genesis of this feud goes a long way back.
What may come as a surprise to many MMA fans is that Conor McGregor’s manager-business partner, Audie Attar, used to manage the Brit. Actually, it was Michael Bisping who first spotted the Irishman, believed in him, and later introduced him to his manager.
Conor McGregor, who was a nobody then, left an impressive impact on the former UFC champion. Thereafter, Bisping persuaded Attar to manage the ‘Mystic Mac’.

The relationship between McGregor and Attar bloomed and McGregor had a stupendous rise in the UFC. Subsequently, Attar became McGregor’s business part. The duo started a successful whiskey business, which they reportedly sold for $600 million.
While the duo had a remarkable rise, Bisping faced the blunt. By the time McGregor cemented himself as one of the biggest names in the UFC, Bisping’s calls weren’t getting returned.
