Did the judges rob Jose Aldo, or was Bautista's win justified? Let's hear your thoughts!

The fight between Jose Aldo and Mario Bautista at UFC 307 received humongous amounts of hatred from the fighting community. Most of the fight fans believed that it was nothing but a robbery for ‘Junior Mac’, as the judges tilted the scorecards in favor of Bautista. Following the fight, Bautista lashed out at Conor McGregor for dissing the decision and then proceeded to call Henry Cejudo out for a fight.

However, ‘Triple C’ had a different plan altogether. He took aim at Aldo while dismissing Bautista’s win at the event. Let’s see what exactly transpired between the fighters.

As soon as the decision began sending shockwaves through the fighting community, Conor McGregor took to social media and bashed the judges for the bad decision. In a rant on X, the ‘Mystic Mac’ wrote, “That was Jose’s story. Bulls–t decision. He has just said he was shooting in just to hold him against the fence. That’s not good enough. Referees need to step in here. This sport is the fans sport. Remember this and act accordingly referees, going forward, thank you.” He even dragged Joe Rogan into the conversation, after he claimed that the judges weren’t even looking at the bout.

But Bautista wasn’t someone who kept quiet. When he got to know about Conor McGregor’s diss, he went on to badmouth the Irish superstar and asked him to focus on fighting Michael Chandler. But things went awry when he challenged ‘Triple C’ for a fight.

Like many others, Henry Cejudo didn’t agree with the judges’ decision and hence dismissed the callout. Instead, he sought at fighting Jose Aldo, giving the ‘King of Rio’ the respect he deserved. Taking to X, Cejudo wrote, “Someone just told me Mario Bautista called me out yesterday? I couldn’t hear him with Baldo’s b-lls in his mouth all night. You don’t get a fight with Triple C after a performance like that! I’d rather fight Baldo 👍 @Bautista_mma”

McGregor’s thoughts were reciprocated by many big guns in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Dana White had a similar opinion, as well. After all, it was indeed ‘Scarface’ who seemingly dominated the Octagon against the American fighter.

Dana White lashes out at the judges for their “atrocious” decision

During the post-fight press conference, the UFC head honcho was asked about his thoughts on the outcome of the fight between Aldo and Bautista. White stated, “I thought the judging was atrocious tonight. I will just leave it at that. It was atrocious.” He wasn’t happy with the way Bautista seemingly stalled at the fence and blamed it all on the referee for not resetting the fighters at the center of the Octagon.

White continued, “I always think that the referee should be active on that. A 100 percent, especially when somebody keeps doing it to stall… When you can tell the guy definitely does not want to stand and strike and just wants to stall against the fence…”

Nevertheless, Aldo is on the path to attaining yet another shot at the championship title. Or that’s what ‘The Notorious’ likes to believe. With the fight fans praising Aldo for his performance and putting him as the true victor of the bout, things might soon turn the way McGregor predicted. But before that, we do need to witness a fight between ‘Scarface’ and ‘Triple C’, don’t you agree?
