Controversial MMA fighter Dillon Danis is back in the limelight once again, stirring up trouble with his latest ballsy statement. The 29-year-old fighter is no stranger to controversies. And more often than not, he gets drawn into a conflict that he either initiates or finds himself involved in. But inevitably, Danis experiences some significant blowback in one way or another.

Danis has recently sparked a heated debate over a social media post featuring free-agent Nate Diaz‘s comments on Leon Edwards‘ recent victory over Kamaru Usman. The Stockton-native reminded the reigning UFC Welterweight champion of their previous fight, and following that, ‘El Jefe’ wanted a piece of the action, too. Hence, Danis didn’t hold back with his response, adding fuel to the fire by using even more provocative language and starting a dialogue with just two words on that post, which is sure to raise eyebrows. Although Danis stays clear in his teammate and UFC icon Conor McGregor’s books, but that contributes nothing in him, changing his ways.

Nate Diaz proved once again that he’s not one to be forgotten easily, even after a spectacular victory by his opponent. The former UFC fighter made sure to remind Leon Edwards of their previous fight at UFC 263. Diaz’s bold move caused a stir in the MMA community. Notably, Dillon Danis decided to jump in on the action, leaving a daring comment under the post that highlighted the Stockton star’s stance on ‘Rocky’.

However, this isn’t the first time that Danis has made some audacious moves. In a bold fashion, the 29-year-old Bellator fighter has previously called out the UFC GOAT himself for a fight.

‘El Jefe’ wants Jon Jones next

Conor McGregor‘s controversial teammate recently stirred the pot by throwing a challenge towards the legendary Jon Jones, who had just made a successful return to the octagon after three years. Jones aced through his heavyweight natural opponent, Ciryl Gane, making the victory look effortless. On the other hand, Dillon Danis, known for his cocky demeanor, decided to challenge ‘Jonny Bones’ after his successful comeback at UFC 285.

The 29-year-old wrote, “the fight that never happened… the time is now let’s see who is the greatest let’s do this Jon Jones 🥊”.

However, ‘El Jefe’ has fought only twice in his professional MMA career, whereas Jones boasts an impressive 27-1-0 (1 NC) record. Hence, challenging a fighter of Jones’ caliber might not be the wisest move for Danis, even at his cocky best. Although the fight may never come to fruition, the mere idea of Danis challenging Jones is quite ballsy.
