U.S. President-elect Donald Trump announced that he plans to issue an executive order to give TikTok’s China-based parent company more time to find an approved buyer before the U.S. ban on the social network takes full effect. His announcement came as millions of American TikTok users woke up to find they could no longer access TikTok’s app or platform. This led to some severe reactions from users of the apps, while other famous personalities also shared their thoughts on it. Joining Donald Trump and Conor McGregor, Joe Rogan, too, shared what he thought about the ban.
Taking to his Instagram story, Joe Rogan shared a meme that showed a man being unaffected and standing tall, while the caption read, “Me not affected by the TikTok ban because I never even downloaded the app.” Showing how he could not care less about the app being pulled off the stores. Another unaffected man was Conor McGregor, as he too took to his X account to promote ‘Triller’ instead. He wrote, “Triller is where it’s at.”
For the unaware, Triller is an American alternative to TikTok. However, the catch is that Triller Inc. is also the company that owns the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. So, Conor McGregor is simply promoting the app to safeguard the MMA promotion that he owns a stake in. With TikTok being under scrutiny by the government, many people would be looking for alternatives, and the Irishman is making sure to spread the word about Triller.

TikTok ceased operations on January 18 after the Supreme Court upheld a law passed last year by Congress, which forced the platform to disassociate itself from its parent company, China’s ByteDance, or face closure. But, “Thanks for your patience and support. As a result of President Trump’s efforts, TikTok is back in the U.S.!” TikTok said in a message to users on Sunday, January 19. So, Donald Trump clearly worked against Conor McGregor on this one and helped his citizens get back the app they love. In fact, Joe Rogan’s friend now promises to solve the issue completely.
Joe Rogan’s new friend Donald Trump finds a solution
The ban was issued by US officials after they warned that the Chinese parent business ByteDance posed a risk of misusing Americans’ data. However, the new President of the United States stated that he would prolong the period before the law’s limitations take effect to find a deal to preserve national security. Seeing that just like Joe Rogan, Donald Trump is a staunch supporter of freedom of speech, the POTUS has also come up with another solution.

Taking to his Truth Social account, Trump wrote, “I would like to see the United States have a 50% ownership share in a joint venture.” Trump stated that corporations cooperating with TikTok will not be held accountable under the executive order. The president-elect had previously suggested that he would most likely grant the app a 90-day extension of the ban after taking office, as TikTok acknowledged in a notification sent to users.
This definitely would be a move that will be praised by Joe Rogan in his upcoming episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience. The only question remaining is whether the podcast episode would also feature the new POTUS himself. Well, another episode with Donald Trump, this time as president, would break the internet. Especially after Rogan revealed that he did not mind the ban, as he mentioned in his IG story. But what do you think? Was it a right move made by Donald Trump? Let us know in the comments.
