UFC star Paulo Costa, famed for parting disparaging comments to his rivals, added Khamzat Chimaev to his list of victims. The middleweight star, who recently brokered another contract with UFC after prolonged negotiations, is harking back on the comments the Swedish fighter recently issued. Both the fighters who are at odds have unleashed an array of insults and ‘Borz’ drew the first blood when he dubbed the Brazilian fighter “coward”. However, ‘Borrachinha’ didn’t let these remarks slip by and had some choice words for him.

A heated exchange between the fighters has ensued since the rumor of a probable fight involving them was floated and was given a boost by UFC veteran Chael Sonnen recently. Since then, the fans have flooded the middleweight fighter’s social media handle and one particular fan tried to discount him.

Paulo Costa returns the favor with a scathing remark

The 31-year-old fighter, who frequently attends to his fans’ comments, faced an unlikely curve ball thrown at him. The tweet read “Khamzat will find you just like usada soon brotherinsha’allah 🤲🔥”

The comment notably referred to the six-month ban the 14-2 record holder served as a result of IV infusion violations in 2018. However, the fan faced the full brunt of the repercussions as the former title contender hit back with a scorching statement.

Thus he wrote, “Hahaha than I gonna must pee in his face”

In most likelihood, both fighters might engage in a more fierce verbal battle if their matchup goes official. On the other hand, the Swedish fighter has taken a hint already. And strove his best to generate hype for the fight.

Khamzat Chimaev takes a dig at Costa

The surging contender who faced struggled with weight-cutting in the past might consider a move up to 185 lbs. Thus, his callout to Paulo Costa perfectly fits the puzzle.

In his tweet, the undefeated fighter penned, “Run coward run”.

Markedly, Chael Sonnen told Ariel Helwani that the duo was booked for a showdown in Abu Dhabi. While Islam Makhachev headlined the UFC fight card, Costa and Chimaev made the co-main event.
