As fans know Pereira as a fierce striker in the realm of MMA, he showcased the same prowess in an Instagram clip. With an immense amount of dedication, Pereira’s quickness was evident in his sparring session. He went on to display his quickness while he was doing pad work with the trainer wearing boxing gloves. His forthcoming opponent is equally determined and had held the gold previously as well. But that small beef with Smith might have fueled the anger of the Brazilian, keeping in mind his next fight. But how did it all happen?

A war of words between Alex Pereira and Anthony Smith

Recently, while sitting with Michael Bisping on their YouTube channel, Anthony Smith laid bare his thoughts on the former middleweight champion. His thoughts, however, were not appreciated by Pereira, as he came with his own reply. He said, “If there’s one guy doing well and another guy only criticizing, people aren’t stupid… They’ll see that he’s just a bitter man. The only ones who speak bad about me are Anthony Smith types. Washed-up vets who never amounted to anything, who are still fighting.”
