Jamie Foxx's comeback: Is he the most versatile talent in Hollywood today?

Jamie Foxx, undeniably, is an A-lister in Hollywood. An Oscar, a British Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award, he’s won it all. But that’s not it. The 56-year-old actor also produced banger songs, proving his skills as a musical artist, and guess what? He has a Grammy award to show for it. However, Joe Rogan and his recent JRE guests claim that there is more to Foxx than meets the eye.

Over the years, viewers have witnessed many discussions Joe Rogan has had with many of his guests on his multi-million-dollar podcast. From strange theories to political commentary, and from sports to the entertainment industry – Rogan seems to have a lot to talk about. But on this particular instance, he and his guests Eric Weinstein and Terrence Howard showered praise on ‘Ray’ star, Jamie Foxx. Let’s see what they had to say.

Joe Rogan and guests deem Jamie Foxx a ‘genius’

During an interesting conversation between Joe Rogan, Eric Weinstein, and Oscar nominee Terrence Howard, the participants shifted their attention to Jamie Foxx. Firstly, Weinstein would bring up the fact that trying to fight the 56-year-old Hollywood star could prove to be a bad idea, and he arrived at this conclusion through his past experiences with Foxx.

“Never pick a fight with Jamie Foxx. Holy sh*t that guy is good at everything. He’s so damn good,” Eric Weinstein stated on the #2171 JRE episode. That promoted Joe Rogan to shower praise on Jamie Foxx and say, “He does that [give good performances] in every movie. He’s insanely talented.” This then prompted the third participant in the conversation, Terrence Howard, who’d narrate a story involving him and Foxx playing chess while they were on the sets of the 2001 biographical sports drama film, ‘Ali’.

“He’s one of the most intelligent people I’ve met. I was sitting on the set of Ali with him… and I’m playing a serious game of chess. he’s having a conversation with two other people while he’s playing chess with me as if it’s nothing,” Howard stated. Having experienced what went down during their chess game, he seemed to have developed a lot of respect for Jamie Foxx due to his multi-tasking abilities.

“I have never been more impressed with somebody who can compartmentalize and he’s an organizational genius,” Howard added. Well, these words are sure to make Jamie Foxx happy because in 2023 he had to go through a serious health crisis. Let’s have a closer look at what went down with the Oscar winner.

Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corrine, would open up to the public about her father getting hospitalized for some unidentified medical emergency on 12 April 2023. However, in just a month’s duration, things would go into a downward spiral for the 56-year-old. First of all, numerous reports catering to Foxx’s medical issues would cite that the ‘Django Unchained’ star was actively rehabbing in May, 2023 after he came out of the hospital where he was getting treated.

Jamie Foxx would address the fans, updating them on his health condition, claiming that he’d been “to hell and back.” In an Instagram post, the 56-year-old stated, “I didn’t want you to see me like that [in a medical state]. I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke… I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.” But now, it seems like Foxx is in a pretty good mental and physical state.
