Joe Rogan, a man of many talents and titles, has worn a number of hats throughout his struggling days to reach where he is today. Rogan‘s journey has been characterized by an abundance of experiences that have helped him develop a calm and composed demeanor that his fans know him for. However, there are still some things that can get under his skin at times, albeit rarely.
Recently, actor and comedian Dave Anthony shared a ‘funny story’ about the UFC commentator, which shed some light on the times when the usually calm and composed host can lose his cool. According to Anthony, when Rogan was offered a role that Anthony was a part of, he stormed off the set after reading the script and feeling that it did not put him in a good light. This incident left the production team scrambling to find a new actor to fill Rogan‘s shoes.
Joe Rogan got irked by a script entailing his own words

Actor-comedian Dave Anthony recently recalled his time working on ‘Maron’, the show starring Marc Maron as a fictionalized version of himself. During the production, Anthony approached Joe Rogan for a role that required him to help get Maron in shape. They used Rogan‘s previous interviews as a reference to add authenticity to the script. However, despite this effort, Rogan felt that the script made him look like an idiot, and he left the show.

Fun Joe Rogan story. When I worked on Maron he agreed to be the main guest for an episode. The story would be Rogan helping get Maron into shape. EP’s wanted to be careful, so they went through his old interviews (print) and took things he had said and put them in the script.

So script was full of things he believed, his own words. When he read it he was angry and asked why we were trying to “make him look like an idiot.” We had to find a different actor.

Having said that, Rogan‘s equation with Marc Maron has not always been smooth sailing. In fact, the two had beef in the past, but they have since reconciled.

Moreover, the UFC commentator even recalled an incident when, despite looking up to Marc Maron at one point, he was forced to cross the line with him.
When Rogan called Marc Maron a c*nt
Joe Rogan and Marc Maron have had an interesting equation throughout their careers. Both have found success in the world of comedy and podcasting, and have occasionally crossed paths along the way.
However, they once had a beef, and it escalated to a point where Rogan lost control of his speech over Maron, who had once been an idol to him.

Rogan said, “When I was an open-micer, Marc [Maron] pulled me aside and he said- He and I had like a dispute at one point of time. And I said I gave you so much slack for so long. I was nice to you for so long because you were so nice to me when I started out. But you are such a c*nt. And he’s like, ‘You’re right!'”

Despite their past differences, Rogan and Maron have managed to move past their beef and maintain a cordial relationship. And this instance may be among the rare ones where the JRE host lost his composure.
