UFC 303 has witnessed quite a bit of build-up. But with the accusations of shamanic practices, things have become even more interesting. Things began when Jiri Prochazka accused the UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, of being involved in shamanic rituals. The talks initially went back and forth between the fighters. But now, the UFC head honcho, Dana White, was found talking about it.

Needless to say, the UFC CEO was hooked on the drama ensuing between ‘Denisa’ and ‘Poatan’. But what did White say about Pereira’s dark practices? Let’s find out all about it.

In a recent interview with ‘The Mac Life’, the UFC head honcho was dragged into the debate. He was asked if there was anything that the MMA promotion does to test witchcraft and similar stuff. Surprisingly, all that White exuded was excitement and a story about Prochazka. He narrated, “I don’t know. I love that s**t though. So, when Jiri found out about the fight, apparently he goes into a shed for 3 days. No water, no food, no nothing. And prays or meditates, whatever he does. So, apparently his coach went banged on the door and told him this fight was available and he said something to the effect of ‘if this is what the universe wants’, you know.”

It indeed seemed like the UFC boss man was intrigued by the supernatural claims. He believed that it was what made the UFC 303 title fight more interesting. White said, “So, he is that dude. He sees him doing the shaman stuff or whatever or chama or whatever the f**k it is, he’s like this is unfair, he’s using witchcraft, or whatever f**king black magic. It is just another reason why this fight is so f**king awesome.”

But things didn’t end there. Pereira himself admitted that he was actually into the spiritual stuff. Later on, when he met White, he put forth a question for him. Pereira asked White to choose between Chama or no chama. Without wasting a single moment, the UFC CEO blurted out, “Chama!”

Maybe this is what will save the event after the fallout of the fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. But what exactly did Prochazka say about Pereira?

How did the talks about witchcraft start?

Not too long ago, on ‘The MMA Hour’, Prochazka came forward and claimed that Pereira had a habit of undergoing shamanic rituals before he entered the Octagon to compete. He said, “Yes everybody knows that he is doing these rituals ahead of his fight everybody can feel that what’s around him and what’s going on Alex can’t fight without that. That something that he’s been using normally in fights.” The Brazilian mixed martial artist was indeed a huge believer in supernatural powers. ‘Denisa’ then asked his opponent not to perform the rituals before their fight at UFC 303, claiming that he wanted to fight Pereira man to man, without any supernatural interference.

Pereria, on the other hand, wasted no time in accepting the accusations as facts. He believed that people were so much more than just flesh and bones. Talking through a translator, the man with the hands of stone said, “Well, everybody have their own spirits. We’re not only made of flesh and bone. I have found mine. If he did not found his or if he does not believe, it’s not my fault.”

What are your thoughts on the accusations against Pereira? Do you think witchcraft is the reason for his tremendous success in the Octagon? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
