There are a few podcasters in the world who have the fan following of Joe Rogan. However, the 56-year-old also has his share of critics as well. It now seems the JRE host isn’t quite bothered about the criticism. He is rather focused on sharing facts with the fans. In his latest episode, Rogan brought up the topic of leaded gasoline emission in America and the damage caused by it.

While speaking to the guest, he said, ” My friend lived in Brooklyn. My friend Steve Renell. He lived in Brooklyn for a while. And he was going to grow plants in his backyard but he has soil. Cuz he’s very smart. So he had his soil tested and found it like filled with lead from leaded gasoline from the f..ng 60s and 50s. It’s just in the dirt.”

The UFC color commentator rarely speaks without factual evidence to support his statements. After making his point, he shared a study from the National Academy of Sciences, which might be a cause for concern. Rogan then pointed out the fine details and said, ” Childhood exposure to led gasoline has caused a loss of 824 million IQ points for more than 170 million Americans or about half of the US population. This is based on an average of 2.6 IQ points lost per person. The study also found that people born in the mid to late 1960s may have lost up to six IQ points. That’s me. While children with the highest levels of lead in their blood may have lost more than seven IQ points on average.”

Rogan’s latest episode is not the only episode where he has shown his environmental concerns. In his previous episode, he invited Greg Overton for a chat. While speaking to him, the JRE host shared a conversation about the miraculous cosmic appearance that took place in an unusual location.

The Carrington Event that occurred in 1859 is without a doubt the most intense geomagnetic storm in recorded history. However, this was not the only event that stopped the world in awe of Mother Nature. Recently, a solar storm appeared in San Francisco, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Ohio, which resulted in a stunning display of green and pink dancing lights. Without a doubt, Joe Rogan had to mention it and seemed super excited about the entire event. While speaking to Overton, the JRE host did reveal that he had not seen the event, rather his daughter watched it.

Although the storm seemed pleasant to the eyes it did have its dangers as revealed by the JRE host. He said, Well, we knew about it. We knew they were coming because there’s two different types of radiation that comes from those storms when they have these big coronal mass ejections. One of them reaches us in seconds. I think that’s, that’s gamma waves. Is that what it is, that reaches us in seconds? And then the second one takes days to get us. And that’s the one that takes out your cell phone towers and f**k up communications and shuts down the grid and, if it gets big enough, we’re really doomed.”
