Jones stopped Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 to defend the UFC Heavyweight World Championship. The GOAT established himself as the real top dog again after one year of not showing up due to his injury and legal issues. Guess what!– he even celebrated his victory in front of President-elect Donald Trump while dancing the infamous ‘Donald Trump Dance.’
For the MMA GOAT, the motivation has always been clear for his goals whether it is winning the heavyweight title or defending it. At present, he has another goal which is to clash with Pereira rather than interim HW champ Tom Aspinall. But why? Well, it has the appeal of a legacy-establishing juncture. Following Jones’ latest title defense, he moved up to #2, toppling Pereira down to #3 in the P4P rankings. For now, it seems like Jonny Bones holds the aces, and his plan might include any possibility.
This year was especially a rollercoaster for Jonny Bones, and he achieved sky-high limits. At the age of 37 and after coming back from an injury, many fighters fail to find their footing again, but not ‘Bones.’ It was an emotional rollercoaster for him as well. He even posted a huge note on X regarding the same.
