Anyone who knows Joe Rogan well enough knows that the UFC color commentator loves talking about things conspiratorial like John F. Kennedy’s assassination, and the existence of aliens. In episode #2236 of JRE, Ari Shaffir alluded to exactly this characteristic of the UFC commentator, stating, “If I could see in any future of Joe Rogan talking to a former or current President, he would ask those two questions.” When Rogan had the 47th President of the US Donald Trump on his podcast, the duo discussed the disclosure of the JFK files and various UFO sightings.
Another guest on the episode and friend of Rogan, Shane Gillis, known for his hilarious spot-on impressions of Trump, expressed his disappointment at the President’s response to Joe Rogan’s questions about the UFO files. , “There’s no reason not to think that Mars and all these planets don’t have life.”, was what Donald Trump replied to Rogan’s question about aliens.
Reflecting on this, Gillis said, “I was a little disappointed with it. That was one of those moments – you ever hear someone say something dumb as f–k and you’re like, ‘Oh s–t, this guy is dumb!’? That was like the – I don’t think Trump’s dumb at all but when he was talking to you about aliens, and you asked him a question, he was like, ‘Yeah, Mars. Who knows?’ It’s like, ‘No. It’s obviously not Mars.’ That was the one moment where I was like, ‘Oh s–t!’

The comedian proceeded to narrate a story where one of his friends, under the influence, noticed a shooting star and began wondering if it was an actual star flying through the air. Shane Gillis drew similar parallels with Trump’s words. “You’ve no concept at all. It was the same thing, like with Trump and the UFOs things. He was like, ‘Yeah, Mars is right there.’”, added the comedian who famously got fired from SNL.
Reflecting on his conversation with the 47th President of the United States, Joe Rogan said, “That’s a good question that I had for him. Like, what was it like making like 10 thousand appointments? And he’s like, ‘We made a lot of mistakes.’ He’s like, ‘I’ve never governed before.’.” But what exactly did Trump say about aliens in episode #2219 of the JRE? Let’s find out.

Donald Trump shares some well-kept secrets with Joe Rogan
Among the many things Joe Rogan and Donald Trump discussed on the podcast that most likely helped the POTUS win the 2024 elections, the JFK files and aliens were solid talking points. One particular instance that Trump talked about in detail was the infamous ‘tic tac’ UFO sighting by US fighter pilots in 2004.
“I interviewed jet pilots that were solid people, perfect. I mean, great pilots, great everything. And they said, ‘We saw things, sir, that were very strange’, like a round ball. But it wasn’t a comet or a meteor it was something, and it was going four times faster than an F-22 which is a very fast plane, you know. And it was round.”, said the POTUS without disclosing much to the UFC commentator and podcaster.

When it came to Trump’s idea of the possibility of life on Mars, Rogan actually provided a nuanced take on the subject, saying, “Well [with] Mars, we’ve had probes there and rovers, and I don’t think that there’s life there.” On being interjected by Trump doubling down on the possibility of life on Mars, Rogan continued, “Well, maybe there was life there at one point in time. This is the speculation about Mars, that Mars had an atmosphere at one point in time, a long time ago, that could support life. It also had large bodies of water, but we’ve had no evidence of even bacterial life that exists on Mars. But the universe is pretty vast.”
