The rivalry between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira is certainly growing among MMA fans. And there are a number of reasons for that to be the case. Both competitors have a longstanding fighting history. Pereira has defeated Adesanya three times in both, kickboxing and recently in MMA at UFC 281. The rivalry has now become so iconic that whenever one of the fighters is mentioned somewhere, the other fighter is immediately referenced as well.
And this was the case when the ‘Poatan’ was spotted playing whack-a-mole with his children and having a blast while doing so. Although it was just a video that encapsulated a father having a gala time with his sons, the fans still managed to reference Adesanya in their comments.

The fans are used to seeing Alex Pereira with his game mode on, and a serious look, for the most part. However, this new clip of him being a regular father to his sons and playing whack-a-mole served as a refreshment to them. And another thing that the fans loved about it is the rare smile they got to witness from Alex Pereira. However, as intimate a family moment as it was for the ‘Poatan’ the UFC fans still found a way to involve Israel Adesanya when responding to it.

The joyousness of this clip won over a lot of fans:
“The ending,”
“A good father never lets his sons win”
“We still love @alexpoatanpereira”
“Rare smile in the end”
“Laser focus.”
And then, there were some mandatory Adesanya mentions:
“Izzy wins whack a mole
Alex:”
“He wanted to beat Adesanya’s highscore.”
Since the Adesanya vs. Pereira match, which took place more than a month ago, fans have made it almost ritualistic to bring up one of them in another’s post in any capacity.
But it’s not only the fans who have UFC 281 permanently etched in their minds. ‘The Stylebender’, too, has a distinct memory of the event and is yearning for a possible rematch. And has started preparing for it as well.

The fans anticipate that this could be the only way Adesanya can secure victory against Pereira. And to an extent, it may turn out to be helpful. But there is no certainty in MMA whatsoever.
