The recent wildfire in Hawaii surely raised concerns for the locals. The officials announced early on Sunday that it had claimed at least 93 lives, making it the deadliest natural catastrophe to hit Hawaii since it became a state in 1959. It rushed through the scenic town of Lahaina on the Hawaiian island of Maui this week. Considering such an unfortunate situation, UFC featherweight star Max Holloway raised concerns about the incident.

It seems like the unforeseen incident hit the featherweight star hard since he was spotted sharing a concerning Instagram post in his story. The story highlighted an Instagram post that had an immensely shocking revelation in front of the netizens.

How did Max Holloway respond to the shocking revelation?

The post in the story referred to something that was relevant to the negligence of the fire department back in Lahaina. In the post published by Mission In Action Podcast, it is claimed that the fire department left the initial fire unattended, which caused it to spread throughout the area.

 

 

According to the post, the afternoon wind speed was predicted to reach 70 mph, which could have increased the fire. Considering the post, Holloway shed light on his concerns, through an Instagram story. In the story, he wrote, “Tag the post and read. Enraging.”

The Instagram story claims that Holloway appeared upset because of the surprising revelation. He tagged the post in his narrative to show his concern. Well, such a serious accident brought on by extreme carelessness could rile anyone up. However, the post also had some revelations further.

The caption of the post was seemingly enough to reveal the crux. It said, “Stick & stand together, Hawai’i. A failing government gives us the opportunity to unite together. We are all we have. OUR LAND, OUR HANDS”

The post further stated that many of the fatalities were children. It said that the number of fatalities is expected to be more than 500 but less than 1000. Raising concern for the environmental consequences, the post revealed that it will take months to clean up the environmental contamination after the fire spread. It also sheds light on the ineffective emergency system, which failed to alert the public.

Well, Holloway’s concerns were totally justified, as he wanted to spread awareness regarding a serious issue. It was indeed one of the biggest mishaps Hawaii has ever witnessed. Holloway, though, also revealed some serious mental health issues in the past.
