UFC 282 ended on a particularly disappointing note. Especially given the outcomes of its final two main event contests. Paddy Pimblett prevailed against Jared Gordon, which, fans believe, was totally unfair.

And the championship match ended in a tie, the fifth time in UFC history that has happened. Additionally, a video of Magomed Ankalaev exiting the fight venue has surfaced online, in which the fighter is seen fighting back tears as he hobbles out.

And the sight was too overwhelming for fans to behold, but they honored the Dagestani fighter for his incredible efforts.

Fans react to an emotional Magomed Ankalaev clip

Magomed Ankalaev gave it all to his fight with Jan Błachowicz. The judges, however, issued a decision that was at odds with what the majority of the UFC community perceived to be the case.

Following the controversial decision, a moving clip from the event went viral where Ankalaev can be seen shattered to the core, as he struggles to walk his way out of the arena.

Witnessing the fight’s unfortunate outcome was indeed upsetting for the fighter, as well as the spectators.

Check out how fans reacted to the dispiriting clip of Magomed Ankalaev:

A never seen before moment for a fan:

“Damn my man was on the verge of crying. I have never seen a dagestani this emotional before.”

It was a state of disbelief for another Ankalaev supporter:

“A Dagestani that’s a striker and shows his emotions, what’s going on here?”

One fan was completely against the draws in the fights:

“Draws should almost never happen. I think he gave enough to edge out the win.”

A fan is hopeful for Ankalaev to win the title one day:

“To see him very breaks my heart so bad. I will be watching the day when he gets that belt for real”

A warrior indeed, as stated by a fan:

“Man is a warrior. He deserves respect.”

Too much to bear for a fan:

“This was hard to watch. It felt like he was trying to hold back his tears but couldn’t.”

A fan showed respect for both the fighters at the end:

“He’s a gun! It was the only fight on the card where I didn’t care who won. Jan and Magomed are both amazing guys and talented fighters. Such a horrible way to go out for both guys </3”

It is difficult to witness a fighter, such as Magomed Ankalaev, suppress his tears after giving it his all in a title bout that he ultimately lost due to a disputed decision.

Ankalaev expresses his honest thoughts on the decision

In a duel that many people thought had obviously swung more in his favor, it startled Magomed Ankalaev when he learnt that the results didn’t match his expectations.

Ankalaev put forth a valiant effort against Blachowicz despite having a compromised knee, and many believe that he should have won. The 30-year-old took Twitter first to clarify one of his quotes that was wrongly translated from his post fight interview.

Ankalaev blamed the ‘horrible judging’ for stating that he won’t fight in Las Vegas again, “I wanna clear something up, what I said after the fight was I don’t want to fight in this city anymore because of the horrible judging, I did not say anything about I don’t wanna fight in the UFC. I wanna thank @danawhite and @Mickmaynard2 for the opportunity”

In a subsequent tweet, he shared what went into the fight and expressed his gratitude towards Dana White and the UFC.

“I fought my heart out today, there is no excuse, but I had a compromised knee, it wasn’t my best performance, but I know I won the fight. Thank you @danawhite and the @ufc for giving me this opportunity”
