India’s Anshul Jubli has had quite a journey so far. From getting his first bout canceled in 2022’s edition of ‘Road to UFC’, to finally winning the finals in a dominant way, the 28-year-old came a long way as a fighter during this period. Now, after the win, Jubli, in his latest Instagram post, has shared a screenshot of a message he had sent to the UFC President. The DM, now revealed by the fighter himself, was a small display of his resolve that eventually helped him make it to the biggest stage of the sport. The Uttarakhand-born fighter clearly exhibited those qualities inside the cage itself, too, as he showed his well-roundedness and adaptability in his last two fights. Now with the revelation of the message that he sent to Dana White, Indian fans clearly have more to be excited about since he also had another bit of promise for 2026.

Many would draw similarities to what Jubli shared to previous predictions by other fighters. For instance, Conor McGregor predicting his wins and his eventual claim for two world titles, in some way falls in the same vein as what Jubli just did. The Lightweight disclosed through his post how he had reached out to the UFC president in 2021 and promised there would be an Indian fighter in the promotion by 2023. The next line by Jubli displayed his confidence, as he claimed there would be a champion by 2026. The caption too indicated this belief in himself.

This confidence is clearly inspiring and no doubt Indian MMA fans will be exhilarated upon realizing that there is a possibility of an Indian UFC champion. Although naturally there will be doubters along the way, Jubli seems to have done well despite them.
India’s Anshul Jubli earns the UFC contract after beating Jeka Saragih
The 28-year-old displayed a dominant performance against Jeka Saragih by finishing the Indonesian in the second round. Although in his last fight, Jubli chose to stand on his feet and strike, he chose to employ his wrestling against Saragih. After multiple takedowns, he was able to finish his opponent owing to his relentless ground and pound and control that Saragih had no answer to.
For the Indian, this was his 7th win in a row with two of them coming in ‘Road to UFC‘, and it also helped him bag the performance of the night bonus as well.

Ultimately, there’s no denying that a certain level of belief, which most would even say is delusional, is required to achieve great heights in any field. Jubli clearly has the faith in himself, evident from his messages to Dana White, and no doubt he has the skills inside the cage to carry himself forward and realize the dreams of a world title.
