The current lightweight champion Makhachev will have to defend his title against the Brazilian sensation who is seeking to take his title back.

The Khabib Nurmagomedov team which includes Usman Nurmagomedov, Umar Nurmagomedov, and Islam Makhachev has been an unstoppable force in combat sports. Recently Usman Nurmagomedov’s performance caught the eye of the combat world who were awestruck by his dominance. However, just a day after his win Usman Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz made a comment that didn’t sit well with the combat fans.

Bellator 300 showcased 16 fights that included 3 title defenses. In its main event, Usman Nurmagomedov had to defend his lightweight champion belt against the formidable Brent Primus. The match between the adversaries stretched to the last round and was ultimately won by the Dagestani who successfully defended his title.

This win took Usman Nurmagomedov’s record to a staggering 18-0, including 7 fights under the Bellator promotion. The undefeated champion’s dominance was quite apparent to the onlookers, given that he didn’t let his opponent take control of him. Thus catching Dana White’s attention.

Following Usman Nurmagomedov’s exceptional and triumphant streak, Ali Abdelaziz took to X(Formerly Twitter ) to add a rather unforeseen comparison between Charles Oliveria and Usman Nurmagomedov. He tweeted ” Usman Nurmagomedov is above Charles Oliveira on the goat list “. Abdelaziz’s comments didn’t sit well with the combat community who ripped apart the manager for his ignorance.

From the diverse fan reactions, it is quite clear that they are not amused by Abdelaziz’s unnecessary comparison. They were quick to call out the manager, stating that he needed to stop living in his imaginary bubble and come back to reality. According to the combat community, there is no doubt that Usman Nurmagomedov is one of the best in his game. However, comparing him to Oliveira is rather overkill for the newcomer.

Bellator earlier this year announced that they will be holding a Grand-Prix fight in the lightweight division. Usman Nurmagomedov is now the finalist for the Belator’s lightweight Grand Prix and is one step closer to winning the $1 million prize money.
