The 2023 NBA Finals Game 4 literally packed quite a punch. Conor McGregor not only graced the match between Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets, but also knocked Burnie, the Heat mascot, out cold with a mean left. Although it was a planned skit for the promotion of a pain relief spray, things were quick to get out of hand as the mascot had to be rushed to the ER.

Soon after, Dana White provided his opinion about the incident and supported the warrior under his wing while the world seemed to diss him. Thereafter, fellow mixed martial artist, Aljamain Sterling also stood beside White in support of the ‘Mystic Mac’. In TWS episode 234, the ‘Funk Master’ declared why ‘The Notorious’ was not the one at fault.

McGregor participated in the skit where he punched the Miami Heat mascot and dropped him to the ground. Subsequently, the fighter faced a lot of heat from the netizens. But White and Sterling came to the rescue of the Irishman.

Sterling said, “What’s up with Conor out here knocking out mascots now. I don’t know what to say about that. Like, I kind of, no kind of, I do agree with Dana, like what did you think was gonna happen, like you had this guy trying to do a skit, he’s going to punch you.”

“Did they think like they’re going to do like these soft punches or like was this planned out, thought through?”

Thereafter, he blamed the ones who made the skit happen. He claimed that the outcome should have been expected owing to the fact that the mascot was getting punched by a professional fighter. He said, “You guys let the man punch a dead body on the ground and that’s just what happens.”
