Former UFC interim welterweight champion, Colby Covington, understands what gets the fans triggered. Also, he knows when and where to call his shots, to get the most attention. After Jake Paul’s win over the NBA player Nate Robinson, Covington went after one of the biggest names in the history of the NBA, LeBron James.
Covington, on his Twitter, called out the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
Heard they finally scraped @nate_robinson’s carcass off the @staplescenter floor. I’d make @kingjames eat the canvas in half the amount of time. Everyone knows current @NBA players are the softest and most privileged athletes on the planet. #TysonJones #Facts

He made fun of Robinson’s knockout loss inside the Staples Center against ‘The Problem Child‘; After that, he claimed he would do the same thing to LeBron James, in half the time as compared to Paul’s knockout of Robinson.
Also, ‘Chaos‘ took a dig at the whole NBA roster for being “the softest and most privileged athletes on the planet.”
‘King James‘, who has a size and a weight advantage over Covington, is not a trained martial artist like the latter. Also, an active and successful NBA player like LeBron will never fight him. But calling out LeBron and the NBA community would definitely turn some heads. Also, it fits well with Covington’s heel persona. ‘Chaos’ knew what he was getting into by targeting a passionate community like NBA.

Colby Covington, calling out LeBron James in the post-fight interview
‘Chaos’ had also called out ‘King James’ after his win over the former welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley. In the post-fight interview, before calling his shot against the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, Covington used ‘woke athletes‘ and ‘spineless cowards‘ terms to describe the NBA star.
Two days later, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, who is one of the most outspoken athletes on the NBA roster, in the post-game interview, after the win over Denver Nuggets, called out his haters.
